Salutations!

Hello and welcome!  You've managed to find your way here, but what is this place?

I like to try new things and learn new techniques for the stuff that I know how to do.  But who doesn't?  Learning new stuff is fun.  I just tend to do it the hard way, by which I mean figuring it out myself.  Oh sure, I search around to get information to get me started, but once I've read the basics I work out the rest through experimentation.

I'm not always great at taking notes, and when I do take notes I don't store them in a way which makes them easy to find.  Which brings us back to the purpose of this blog.  It gives me a reason, as well as a place, to record how to do the stuff I figured out.  It'll save me from relearning it later on, and perhaps might help to inform other folks working on similar problems.

There's a lot of stuff to learn about though, what sort of topics can you expect to read about here?  My personal projects tend to drift as different things catch my attention; currently I'm trying to learn how to draw things, cooking techniques and recipes, as well as programming.

Whatever project I'm working on I'll probably be writing about.  Explaining some new trick I'm using or perhaps autopsying a complete failure.  We'll see how it goes and how successful this all turns out.
